8th Post

This week I got my grade back from the last test. I didn't do as well as I'd hoped. But hopefully I will be able to make up for it with my 3rd test grade. My partner and I started working on the project that's due this week and we are almost done. I just have to find a good way to write the UML and we should be good.

7th entry

This week was a hectic week. My partner and I turned what we had done for our Deque project. It took a lot of work but we got most of it working and turned in. Then there was the task of studying for the test this past friday. I felt that there was a lot of material to study for this test and it was hard to figure out what to focus on. I felt that the test was difficult compared to the last test, but that's how it goes. Time to get ready to tackle the material for the last test and project!

6th entry

This past week we have been learning about things that seem to elude me. I wanted to stop by the TA's office hours but unfortunately she was out of town. This has made the current project a difficult one to say the least. But me and my partner are powering through it. I have had a bit of time to study for the upcoming test this friday. Again, I know of broad issues that will be tested, but I do not yet know of any specific questions. We shall see how the rest of the week goes.

5th post

This past week went by pretty fast. Most of it consisted of working on the project with my partner. We finished the project. I was able to keep up with the one class we had this week. So I feel that I am getting better in this class. My partner has taken this class before so I now I have someone who I can study with who has seen this material before. I am hoping to meet with him this week to go over the material just to make sure I know what is going on correctly.

4th post

In the fourth week I found out that I did petter on the test than I expected. I am getting used to the lectures and understanding them. I have started looking at the programs before each lecture and I think that helps me to understand them a little better and to keep up with the professors' pace. My partner and I have also been working on the project, but the holiday weekend is getting in the way of that a little bit.

3rd week + first Test

My partner and I finished our project this past week and turned it in just before the deadline. As for the class, I am still finding it difficult, but not as much. I am getting used to what the professor expects from us and how to study for the upcoming classes. This week we had our first test. I wasn't sure how to study for it so I just tried to understand the topics that he stressed the most as well as thoroughly understanding the coding for the examples he had on the website. I think I did ok on the test. I found it a bit difficult compared to past CS exams. But I guess I will just have to adapt. I have a partner for this next project already.

2nd week

So this is the end of the second week. The 2nd project is tough (but not as tough as learning how to use git) and some of the material goes over my head during class. But I was put at ease when the professor explained that he wants us to work with things that we don't understand yet. He said that he wants us to research things outside of class to learn about them . This made me feel better about having to do that exact thing just so I could feel like I am "keeping-up" with the class. But I do like that we have piazza (posting anonymously makes me feel better about asking stupid questions) and other tools to help us along the way. This class is definitely intense. I am a little worried about the upcoming test, but I think I will start a study group and get that going.
